This update just in from our Sloat Boulevard store:
This week we brought in our first batch of California grown rhododendrons for the season....200 of them, ranging from 2 gallons to 10 gallons. We also brought in a selection of one gallon shady perennials (including heucheras, which are on special this month!) to complete an instant part-sun garden that will offer year round interest. We have new vines and groundcovers, bulbs for spring 2009 and a new season of seeds (including our favorite Pacific Coast Wildflower seeds).
Our favorite mum grower (Homestead) has begun sending us little fall favorites. We get two shipments a week (Mondays and Thursdays) always with at least 20 flats.
We have fruit! Blueberries, kiwis, Mexican limes and meyer lemons, to name a few. As for vegetables, we have onion and garlic starts, cabbage, kale, peas, nasturtiums, collard greens, spinach, cauliflower and broccoli, plus our usual selection of locally grown herbs -- but stock up now, a lot of growers run out of herbs by November 1st until spring. We also have adorable one gallon artichokes and fresh organic cat nip for your kitty!
